The Perfect Scottsdale Bachelorette Trip: Desert Days, Pool Days and Girls' Night Out

I grew up in Texas, so I know what a hot day feels like, and I know a good group trip when I see one. Scottsdale checks every box for a bachelorette weekend: desert sunsets, resort pools, brunch spots that are made for photos, and a country-western nightlife scene in Old Town that fits a cowboy-boot theme perfectly.
This guide is organized the way a weekend usually goes: brunch, a desert day, a pool day, and a night out. Hours, prices and availability change, so check each place before you book.
You can also see the whole trip as a carousel on our Instagram.
Brunch
Scottsdale takes brunch seriously, and the spots below are photogenic enough that you'll want everyone dressed for it.
- The Canal Club is a bright, lively spot that's easy to build a group booking around.
- The Henry is a popular all-day restaurant, and the blue doors make a good group photo.
- Sugar Jam is a Southern kitchen that's good when the group wants something hearty.
- The Montauk has a coastal feel with a big patio.
- Hash Kitchen is known for its bottomless mimosa and Bloody Mary setup.
Tip: Brunch spots in Scottsdale fill up on weekends. Reserve for the whole group a few weeks ahead, and put the reservation in your shared itinerary in VowCrew so everyone sees the time and address.
Desert Day
The Sonoran Desert is the reason to pick Scottsdale over a city trip, so give the group at least one outdoor morning or evening.
Hike the preserve. The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy looks after the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, which has trails for every fitness level. Pick an easy trail if half your group is in sandals.
Go off-road. Stellar Adventures runs guided ATV, UTV and Hummer tours through the desert, and it says it can tailor group tours for bachelorette parties. It's about 45 minutes from Scottsdale, and tours are around two hours. Desert Wolf Tours is another option, with longer UTV tours north of Phoenix.
Ride horses. For a classic Arizona moment, book a guided ride. A few places to look at:
- MacDonald's Ranch is beginner friendly and offers trail rides, plus evening and cookout options.
- Wild West Horse Adventures runs private rides through the Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, including sunset rides.
- Cave Creek Outfitters works well for small groups and also does UTV and ATV rentals.
Tip: In the summer, most outfitters only run early-morning and sunset rides because of the heat, so book those slots early. Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. A cowboy hat counts.
Pool Day
You can't do Scottsdale without a pool day. These are the places on the list, and several of them sell day passes to non-guests.
- W Scottsdale is the stylish choice. Day passes there tend to be pricier than at other hotels, so check the current price before you book.
- Hotel Valley Ho is a retro-chic hotel with a great pool scene. Call or check its site to see whether day access is available for your date.
- Caesars Republic Scottsdale has a pool you can book as a day pass or a cabana through ResortPass.
- Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and Grand Hyatt Scottsdale also offer day passes. A site like ResortPass lets you compare them.
Tip: Day passes and cabanas sell out on weekends and holidays. If your group is big, a cabana can be cheaper per person than separate passes, so ask before you book.
Dinner
Old Town Scottsdale has plenty of places that work for a big group.
- The Mission is a Latin restaurant known for tableside guacamole, and it's a fun first night for a group.
- Citizen Public House is a more upscale dinner, with a bar, a patio and private dining rooms for bigger groups.
- Barrio Queen is a Mexican spot that's good for margaritas and a lively table.
Tip: Call ahead for groups of eight or more, and ask whether they take a deposit.
Girls' Night Out
Old Town is where Scottsdale gets loud, in the best way. If you packed boots, this is the night to wear them.
- Maya Day + Nightclub is the high-energy club option.
- Bottled Blonde mixes a pizza and beer garden with a dance floor.
- Wasted Grain often has live entertainment and a rowdy crowd.
- Whiskey Row is the country-bar choice, with live bands and DJs.
- Not My First Rodeo is a country-themed restaurant and bar with live music and line dancing, which is perfect for a bride-to-be in a cowboy hat.
- Rusty Spur Saloon is a historic cowboy bar with live country music, if the group wants something more low-key.
Tip: Walk or share rides between bars in Old Town, and add the car or shuttle plan to your itinerary before the night starts.
Where to Stay
For a group of six or more, a rental house with a pool is often easier and cheaper per person than splitting hotel rooms, and it gives you a place to get ready together. If you'd rather have a resort, the pool-day hotels above (W Scottsdale, Hotel Valley Ho, Caesars Republic Scottsdale, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and Grand Hyatt Scottsdale) are all good bases. Staying in or near Old Town makes the night out easy, since you can walk or take a short ride between your room and the bars.
Tip: Decide on a house or hotel block early, and keep everyone's booking info and flights in one place in VowCrew, so nobody has to dig through the group chat for a confirmation number.
