Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VowCrew mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App" or "Service"), operated by VowCrew ("VowCrew," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, joining a wedding party, or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the App. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App, and by using the App you represent that you have obtained that consent. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. VowCrew does not knowingly permit use of the App by anyone under 13, and we will terminate any account we learn belongs to a person under 13, or to a person between 13 and 17 who has not obtained the required parental or guardian consent.

3. Description of the Service

VowCrew helps engaged couples and their wedding parties coordinate wedding planning through shared features including group and item-specific chat, a shared shopping list with purchase tracking, event and itinerary details, expense tracking, and push notifications. Users join a specific "wedding party" using an invite code and are assigned a role (for example, Bride, Groom, or wedding party member) that determines their permissions within that wedding party.

4. Accounts and Wedding Parties

4.1 Account Registration: You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

4.2 Joining and Leaving a Wedding Party: You may join a wedding party using a code shared with you, and may leave a wedding party you have joined at any time. The Bride/Groom (owner) role for a wedding party may archive that wedding party. Leaving or archiving a wedding party removes your access to that wedding party's shared content, but does not necessarily delete content you contributed if other members remain in the wedding party (for example, messages you sent in a shared chat may remain visible to remaining members, consistent with how group messaging works generally).

4.3 Deleting Your Account: You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal account data — including your profile photo and any photos or videos you've personally uploaded — and removes you from all wedding parties you belonged to. Content you contributed to a shared wedding party (such as chat messages, newsfeed posts, or shopping list activity) may remain visible to other members of that wedding party after your account is deleted, attributed to a generic "Removed User" placeholder, as it is shared content within that group.

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership: You retain ownership of any photos, messages, and other content you upload or submit to the App ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

5.2 License You Grant to VowCrew: By submitting User Content, you grant VowCrew a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display that User Content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, and provide the App's features to you and to the other members of the relevant wedding party (for example, displaying a photo you post in a group chat to the other members of that chat). This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from the App, except to the extent copies have been retained by other members' devices or as required by law, or where content has been shared as part of shared group content as described in Section 4.

5.3 Your Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise violates the rights of any third party. VowCrew may remove User Content that violates these Terms.

6. Conduct, Blocking, and Reporting

The App includes tools that let you block another member and report content or behavior you believe violates these Terms. When you block a member, VowCrew restricts their ability to interact with you within the App as designed by that feature. When you submit a report, VowCrew may review the reported content or conduct and take action in its discretion, including removing content, restricting features, or suspending or terminating the reported account.

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse another user
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Upload content that is illegal, obscene, or infringes another party's intellectual property or privacy rights
Attempt to circumvent a block placed by another user
Misuse the reporting system, including submitting knowingly false reports
Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation or security

7. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time, as described in Section 4.3. VowCrew may suspend or terminate your account, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice if we determine, in our discretion, that you have violated these Terms — including the conduct rules in Section 6 — or that your continued access poses a risk to other users or to the App. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.

8. Affiliate Links and Commissions

The App's Shop feature may include links to third-party retailers and products. VowCrew earns a commission from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links in the App, at no extra cost to you. VowCrew is not responsible for the products, pricing, availability, or customer service of third-party retailers linked from the App; any purchase you make through those links is subject to that retailer's own terms and policies.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as retailers, maps, or sharing tools). VowCrew does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and branding (including the VowCrew name and logo), is owned by VowCrew and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use VowCrew's trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. VOWCREW DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOWCREW WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF VOWCREW HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. VOWCREW'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold VowCrew harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

VowCrew may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
